About The Author
I am happily married to my wife Suzanne and between us we have 6 grown up children. I am now semi-retired and still working part time completing assessments of competence of Offshore Installation Managers in Emergency Response and training of future Offshore Production Apprentices.
I had over 50 years’ experience in Production and Production Management starting as a Process Operator Apprentice in 1969 with ICI at Lostock Works in Cheshire, then moving to Petrochemicals in Ayrshire and in 2019 as an Offshore Installation Manager with over 20 years’ experience, I finished on the Beatrice Platform in the Moray Firth.
I have gained knowledge and experience in commissioning and start-up of various sites, working all over the world from Bangladesh and Northern Russia to Mexico and Canada and many places in between. I wanted to write a book to capture my knowledge and experiences, and to share this with people who work in or are about to work in Production Operations.
My hobbies include watching football, cooking, travelling, reading and walking our dogs regularly.

Organization’s Background
The focus of the organization is to share the knowledge gained over the last 50 years while working in the production Operations in many different areas of the world. This includes the knowledge and experience gained in onshore Chemical Plants, Petrochemical Plants, and Oil & Gas processing facilities both onshore and offshore.
The mission is to ensure that the knowledge and experiences gained is passed on to personnel working in production operations so that they can get a better understanding of the work environment in which they are working. With better understanding comes better safety practices and more efficiency.
